On Friday, December 13th, at 5 PM, the A.D. White House at Cornell University hosts a salon recital showcasing research from the “Historical Keyboarding” seminar taught by CCHK director Roger Moseley. Isaac Dorio, Federico Ercoli, Ariel Mo, and Matías de Roux present performances and insights developed over the course of the semester.
The program features works by Jan Ladislav Dussek, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms, performed on Regier-Graf and Steinway pianos. The event also includes an introduction to the Moog-Rothenberg keyboard, a unique instrument with 478 keys, and movements from a classical-style sonata composed by Moseley and Cornell violin professor Ariana Kim, performed on the CCHK’s Wolf-Schantz fortepiano.
